The first anthology film of Bangladesh, Iti, Tomari Dhaka (Sincerely Yours, Dhaka) will hit 15 local theatres nationwide today. The film premiered at last year’s Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in A Window on Asian Cinema section.
The film will be running in all the major cinema halls in Dhaka including Star Cineplex’s Bashundhara City branch, Balaka, Madhumita, and Shyamoli.
The film will also be running in Chittagong’s Silver Screen, Mymensingh’s Purobi, Jashore’s Monihar, Sreepur’s Chandrima, Jaydebpur’s Barsha, Bagura’s Momo Inn, Khulna’s Shongkho, Rangpur’s Shapla, Pabna’s Rupkotha, Dinajpur’s Modern, and Faridpur’s Banalata.
The Impress Telefilm produced drama features 11 films directed by 11 individual Bangladeshi film-makers: Abdullah Al Noor, Golam Kibria Farooki, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Mahmudul Islam, Md Robiul Alam, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Nuhash Humayun, Rahat Rahman, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan and Tanvir Ahsan.
Iti, Tomari Dhaka will star more than 30 characters in lead roles including Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Iresh Zaker, Shatabdi Wadud, Lutfor Rahman George, Tropa Mazumdar and many more.
