Rajneeti was first released in Eid-ul-Fitr of 2017, and it is back on the silver screen after two whole years
For the occasion of Durga Puja, Shakib Khan-Apu Biswas's 2017 film Rajneeti has returned to the silver screen on Saturday at the Madhumita Cinema Hall. The news was confirmed by the director of the film Bulbul Biswas, and Madhumita's owner Iftekharuddin Naushad.
Rajneeti was first released in Eid-ul-Fitr of 2017, and it is back on the silver screen after two whole years.
Bulbul told reporters: "This is very good news for us. There will be three screenings of the film every day. The film will be shown at 3pm, 6pm, and 8:45pm."
Naushad, who is also the leader of Bangladesh Film Exhibitors’ Association, told reporters: "Shap Ludu ran in theatres last week. From October 4, Rajneeti will run. And from October 11, Kolkata's film Bacchan will be screened. There is currently an ongoing crisis in the film industry of Bangladesh. It has become quite difficult to bring people to the theatres. Therefore, this week we will screen Rajneeti."
The three lead roles in Rajneeti are played by Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas, and Anisur Rahman Milon. The film also stars Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Sadek Bachchu, Aliraj, Jayosree Kar Jaya, DJ Sohel, Kamal, and Pijush Bandyopadhyay.
The film depicts how families of leaders are affected by political rivalry and how the best and worst human qualities reveal themselves when emotions run high. Rajneeti also chronicles the traditional 'Dhakaia' culture, which is used as a backdrop for the film.
