Duronto TV to air special programs on Durga Puja

Bangladesh’s first children's TV channel Duronto Television will broadcast special programs to celebrate Durga Puja, starting from tomorrow until October 8. The details of the special programs are listed below

Aloy Bhubon Bhora

Aloy Bhubon Bhora will be presented by prominent actor, researcher and writer Jayanta Chattopadhyay.  The program, directed by Monirul Hossain Shipon, will air on Saturday at 9:30pm.

Several religious stories about Hinduism will be presented in this episode. These stories will teach children about ethical values and motivate them to develop into ideal members of society. Honesty, tolerance and respect will be promoted through the show.  


Mongolalokey, a special dance program directed by Tofail Sarkar, will feature dancers from the dance institute Kolpotoru, including Rudmila Priyonti Chowdhury, Nohali Islam Sreya, Sumaiya Akter Shobha, Amira Mahmud, Anudiya Anubh, Abeya Akond, Modhurima Roy and more. The dance program will air on Sunday at 9:30pm. 

Ronger Khelay Shurer Bhelay Pujar Melay

Duronto TV will air a special episode of Ronger Khelay Shurer Bhelay for Durga Puja, titled Ronger Khelay Shurer Bhelay Pujar Melay. Hosts Debalina Shur, Chompa Bounik and Abida Sultana will sing together on this special episode.  

Durga Puja will be celebrated with religious songs and Dhoop.  The show directed by Partho Pratim Haldar and Jamal Hossain Abir will air on Duronto TV on Monday at 9:30pm.    

Shubho Bijoya

To celebrate Doshomi during the Durga Puja season, a special program titled Shubho Bijoya will be broadcasted on Duronto Television.  The history of Hinduism will be presented in the form of stories in this program. The show will be presented by Bhashkor Bangopadhyay with child actors Barnomala, Kotha and Shomridha.  The cast of the program will be visiting several temples and featuring Durga Puja celebrations around the capital.  The program directed by Partho Pratim Haldar will air on Tuesday at 9:30pm.
