Nargis Fakhri, a popular Bollywood actor and model, is set to attend a concert in Dhaka to mark International Day of Peace on Saturday.

Nargis Fakhri had previously said in a Facebook Live stream that she would come to Bangladesh and surprise everyone. Musician and Gaan Bangla Managing Director Kaushik Hossain Taposh told the press that that Fakhri would make an important announcement after attending the concert in Dhaka.
In addition to Taposh, musicians Kailash Kher and Aditi Singh Sharma will also perform at the concert, along with Internationally renowned musicians Amadeus, Shivamoni, Sanjay Das, Arshad Khan, and many others.
Kher had previously performed in Bangladesh in Wind of Change. On the other hand, the Day of Peace concert will be Sharma’s first time performing on a Bangladeshi stage. Popular Indian presenter Sheena Chohan will emcee the event.
Taposh and Gaan Bangla Chairman Farzana Munni received the Mother Teresa international Award and Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award in 2018.
American born Fakhri, 39, first shot to fame after her debut appearance in the 2011 Bollywood blockbuster romantic drama Rockstar. Her performance in the film earned her a nomination for Best Female Debut at the Filmfare Awards.
Subsequently, she portrayed a war correspondent in the 2013 political thriller Madras Café, and starred in successful Bollywood comedies such as Main Tera Hero (2014). She made her Hollywood debut in the film Spy, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Jude Law and Jason Statham.
