Salman Shah’s weeklong birthday celebration starts Thursday

Dhooli Communications and TM Films are organizing the festival and Shakib Khan will inaugurate the festival

A weeklong celebration of Salman Shah’s films will start on Thursday at Modhumita cinema hall to commemorate his birthday with a screening of six of his movies  from September 20 to 26. 

Dhooli Communications and TM Films are organizing the festival and Shakib Khan will inaugurate the festival at 11am today. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, will be the chief guest. 

Chairman of TM Films, beautician Farzana Munni, said their company will formally be launched with this festival.

“Salman Shah is a dream hero for people from all walks of life,” she said. “We have stories, music, directors; we just need a coordinator, which will be our role at TM Films.”

Salman Shah, 90s heartthrob of Bangla cinema, was born on September 19, 1971. His silver screen breakthrough came in 1993 with box office smash hit Keyamat Theke Keyamat. The actor died under mysterious circumstances in 1996.
