Film production house Shapla Media has issued a complaint notice against Shakib Khan to the Ministry of Information, the Secretariat, the Prime Minister's personal secretary, Bangladesh film producers, presenters, directors and artistes' associations, and to the actor himself.

The complaints were from the set of the film Ektu Prem Dorkar. The complaints were such that Shakib neglects shooting, does not allocate time for it, and causes financial damages to the film production.

In a letter sent to various media houses, Shapla Media notes: "For the film Ektu Prem Dorkar, you were present at the announcement of the film, on July 26, 2018, after the payment of your fees of Tk60 lakh. The film was due to be released on December 15 of the same year. However, you would regularly arrive four to five hours later than the allotted time. On some days, you did not even come to the shooting. Because of such actions on your part, the film incurred an additional cost of Tk1 crore. Furthermore, you have not yet taken part in the dubbing of the film."

The complaint letter also notes that, within the same time frame, Shakib had already finished work for films such as Bir, Moner Moto Manush Pailam Na, Agun, Selim Enterprise's  Shahen Shah, and his own production Password, which has been made and released.

Shapla Media's founder Selim Khan told various reporters: "If he had given us two to three days, then the dubbing would have been complete. We have been asking for his time for the last two months, but he is not giving us any time. Therefore, we had to send this notice out."
