Regarding the reception from crowds in India, Armeen told the Dhaka Tribune Showtime: "It was a humbling experience. Most did not know me there, so I felt like an artiste who has just started out and it was humbling. However, the crowds were lovely in Kolkata and Mumbai."
Live from Space
The Armeen Musa Band has been performing songs from the album Live from Space for the last two years at various venues. However, this summer they decided to document it, and has been releasing each song from the album with an accompanying live performance video on their Facebook and YouTube page since July 19.
On July 19, the band released a video titled Intro- Live from Space. In the intro, Armeen describes the album with the following statements: "It's really about love and this life we have. The reason we have this job is because of love. The reason we make these songs is because of love. I think we are very lucky to have love as a part of our everyday existence. So here we are sharing our love."
A week later, the first song of the album Onno Rokom Raat, written by Sahana Bajpaie, was released. The songs Lona Deyal, Moyna Goh, Prohori, and Hallelujah, were released the subsequent weeks.
These seven releases make up side A of the album. Side B starts with the track Races, released on August 28. Four more songs in the album will be released in the upcoming weeks.
Most of the songs have Armeen as the main vocalist, while Deepti Huq and Scionara Shehry feature in the songs Moyna Goh and Races respectively. Both Deepti and Scionara also perform among the many singers of Ghaashphoring Choir, another music project by Armeen Musa.
Another notable aspect of Live from Space is that a few of the songs have poetry recitations by Armeen accompanying them. Regarding the poetry, Armeen says: "Poetry is still very much a friend of people. Even if they are just little quotes on Facebook, poetry saved my life. I wrote a lot when I was struggling in life. My next project will be a book of poetry."
