Mr Bangladesh Mahadi Hasan Fahim ends run among top 30
In the 10th edition of Mister World competition, United Kingdom's Jack Heslewood won the crown at the grand finale of the event held on Friday at 5pm in Manila, Philippines. Bangladeshi contestant Mahadi Hasan Fahim, unfortunately ended his run while being among the top 30 contestants.
The first runner-up was South Africa's Fezile Mkhize, and the second runner-up Mexico's Brian Arturo Faugier Gonzalez. Brazil's Carlos Wilton Teodoro Franco and Dominican Republic's Alejandro Martinez make up the remaining two members of the top five.
As soon as the final result was published, Mahadi wrote on his Facebook page "Sorry Bangladesh." However, the post received a lot of likes and heart reactions, and some Bangladeshis showed their support and encouragement for Mahadi in the comments’ section. Many of them wished him luck for his future endeavors.
Previously, Mahadi had written a sad post on Thursday which read "In a country of 160 million people, there are 80 million who use smartphones. However, I did not even get 10,000 people to support me."
Bangladesh participated in the Mister World competition for the first time this year. Antar Showbiz, which manages Miss World Bangladesh, also handled this competition. Fahim was declared as Mr World Bangladesh on August 2.
