Paharer Bornil Sangskriti closes tomorrow at Shilpakala

The exhibition is open to all from 11am to 8pm

As part of the month-long programs, to be organized throughout the month of mourning, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, and Bangladesh Ethnic Artiste Forum have organized an exhibition dedicated to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, titled Paharer Bornil Sangskriti. The exhibition, which is taking place at gallery 2 of National Art Gallery in the Shilpakala compound, began on Sunday, and will close tomorrow. 

According to a press release, at the inauguration ceremony the chief guest was the International Affairs adviser to the Prime Minister, Gowher Rizvi, who also inaugurated the program. The inauguration ceremony was presided by the Director General of Shilpakala, Liaquat Ali Lucky. The special guests at the program were Member of Parliament of Rangamati constituency Dipankar Talukdar, and Cultural Affairs Ministry's Secretary Dr Md Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal. The welcome address at the event was given by Ethnic Forum's Adviser artist Kanak Chanpa Chakma. 

The exhibition is open to all from 11am to 8pm.

Furthermore, a reading and discussion session, on a book written on Bangabandhu, was organized in the seminar room of National Theatre Hall yesterday at 4pm.  The chief guest of this event was Minister of Information Dr Hasan Mahmud. This event was also presided by Shilpakala Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky. The program was inaugurated by Bangabandhu's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee's President and Chief Coordinator Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.

In honour of National Mourning Day, and the 44th death anniversary of Bangabandhu,  Shilpakala Academy has taken the initiative to organize several programs throughout this month, collectively titled Shilper Aaloy Bangabandhu. On Thursday, floral wreaths were placed at the tombstone of Bangabandhu by Shilpakala officials to commence the series of events.
