Younger brother of popular TV star Ziaul Faruq Apurba committed suicide at his residence in capital’s Shekertek area on Thursday morning.

Besides, being employed in an IT company, Dipu was associated with music for a long time. He used to play background music in different plays, and telefilms.
He played background music in plays like ‘First Love’, ‘Dream Girl’ starring Apurba. A few days ago, Dipu’s song titled ‘Valobashi Tomay’ was released, and gained popularity.
His family sources said, Dipu is the youngest of four brothers and one sister. He lived with his wife and four-year old son in a rented house. He was depressed for many days as he could not make any progress in life.
Sub-inspector Motiur Rahman of Adabor police station quoting his family said, Dipu’s wife broke open the door of the studio room in their house when she failed to get any response from him for a long time, and found him there hanging from the ceiling fan.
Officer in-charge (OC) Kawser Ahmed said, an unnatural death (UD) case has been filed in this connection, and the body was handed over to the family after an autopsy at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue.
