Kona covers a popular Assamese folk song

Kona released a music video of the song on her YouTube channel on June 6. In the video, directed by Aabid Hasan, Kona is seen singing along with the musicians. Rashed Mazumder worked as the director of photography on the music video which was produced by ZM Studio

Popular singer Dilshad Nahar Kona recently covered a popular Assamese folk song. In her soothing voice, the song “Sokhi Piya” gets a fusion vibe in association with the temporary music rearrangements.  

Previously, the song had been covered by many Indian artistes. Lyrics of the song talk contain folklore elements such as Ram and Lakkhan.

The flute part of the song is a pleasure to the ears for the listeners. Pavel played flute in the song while Amzad Hossain rearranged the music.

In addition, she has recorded another duet folk song, “Premik Bangal” with acclaimed folk singer Kangalini Sufia. The music video of the song will be released soon.

Kona also lent her voice for a playback song for Chhayanika Chowdhury’s debut feature film “Bishwa Shundori.”  She collaborated with singer Imran for that song titled “Tui ki amar hobi rey.”
