Renowned actor Farida Akhter Bobita celebrated the Eid festival with underprivileged children, on Monday. The actor is the Distressed Children & Infants International (DCII)’s goodwill ambassador. Bobita has worked as DCII's goodwill ambassador for a long time.
She spent the day with the children at her residence in Gulshan while Bobita’s sisters—film actors Shuchanda and Champa—were also present on the occasion.
More than 40 children spent quality time with Bobita.
They had a very cheerful and fun time with the actor sisters. The children sang them songs such as “O Mor Romjaner Oi Rojar Sheshe,” “Sraboner Meghgulo,” and others.
Bobita, Shuchanda, and Champa were delighted by the children's performances. They also sang along with the kids.
Bobita said: “I have arranged this type of program for underprivileged children before on my birthday and Eid also. I feel very blissful around them.
“These children are very talented and intelligent. They have entertained us with their singing and dancing. I am very overwhelmed by their respect and love, she added.”
DCII is a US-based non-profit organization that was established at Yale University in 2003 and is currently headquartered in Cheshire, Connecticut. DCII currently supports initiatives for children in: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Nicaragua.
