In her Facebook post Mila, said her ex-husband is out on bail now, and has been trying to escape from the country
Popular pop singer Mila has opened up about the domestic violence she had to endure at her in-law’s house.
On Tuesday, she posted a status on her verified Facebook page about the domestic violence against her by her husband and in-laws.
In the post Mila wrote: “My mother-in-law dragged me out of the bathroom after breaking open the door, on my husband’s direction, when no cloths were on my body and beat me indiscriminately.”
Mila’s husband was arrested for committing domestic violence two years ago. In her recent post, the singer wrote that she is still waiting for justice.
In the heartfelt post, Mila also urged everyone to support women. She claimed her father saw the brutal beating she received through a video call on Viber.
Mila married US-Bangla Airlines pilot Parvez Sanjari after a 10 year-long relationship on May 12, 2017. She turned to her family after first facing assault from her husband and, with their help, took the matter to the police. Sanjari was subsequently arrested under the Prevention of Repression against Women and Children Act.
In her Facebook post Mila, said her ex-husband is out on bail now, and has been trying to escape from the country. The popular singer further said two other pilots - Rezwan Ahmed Khan and Shams Rezwan- had verbally abused her.
Towards the end of the post, she wrote: “I want justice before he kills me.”
