Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to team up with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki for his next film, "No Land's Man." He will also co-produce the film. The film will mostly be in English, reports Variety.com.
According to Variety, No Land’s Man will feature Siddiqui as a man “whose journey takes a layered and complicated shape when he meets an Australian girl in the US."
The script is both tragic and funny.
“The script explores today’s strange world, with strong humor, satire, and emotion. I felt compelled to be associated with the project in more than just the capacity of an actor, as I thought this is that kind of film which really needs to be made,” the star told Variety.com.
Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Farooki will co-produce the film from their Chabial—along with Anjan Chowdhury, director of the Square Group—while Siddiqui will produce through his Magic If Films.
In 2014, the film won the Motion Picture Association of America and Asia Pacific Screen Awards’ Script Development fund and was part of the Asian Project Market at Busan.
It was selected as the best project at India’s Film Bazaar the same year. The film is in pre-production and principal photography will commence later this year.
Shooting for "No Land’s Man" is expected to begin later this year as well.
