Musicians rock on last day of Aarong 40 Year Anniversary Festival

The show began with a minute of silence to pay respect to legendary musician Ayub Bachchu

Popular Bangladeshi musicians rocked the crowd at the capital’s Army stadium with their performance on the third and final day of the Aarong 40 Years Festival on Saturday.

The show began with a minute of silence to pay respect to the late Ayub Bachchu who died recently. Then the COO of Aarong, Ashraful Alam, gave his welcome speech and announced the opening of the concert and the final day of the three-day-long festival to mark 40 years of Aarong, a leading retail chain of BRAC in Bangladesh.

Performances by Minar, Joler Gaan, and Nogor Baul captivated thousands at the show.

Minar started the concert with “Hashte Dekho, Gaite Dekho” as a tribute to Ayub Bachchu. He also performed some of his popular tracks.

Joler Gaan also performed their most popular songs “Bokul Phul,” “Rongin Projapoti,” “Maa,” and more. They also sang “Boshundhara” to pay tribute to Ayub Bachchu.

Later on, James with his band Nogor Baul, came on stage. He started with “Dukhini Dukkho Korona.” Then he sang “Lais Fita Lais,” “Guru Ghor Banaila Ki Diya,” “Maa,” and “Dustu Cheler Dol.”
