Scholastica stages ‘Acholayataon’
Scholastica’s Junior Section in Uttara staged Rabindranath Tagore's play “Acholayaton” for their annual drama at the STM Hall in Uttara on April 28. The performance was done by class two’s music and drama club students. Minister of Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor, was present as the chief guest of the event and Zahid Reza Noor, deputy feature editor Daily Prothom Alo was the special guest. The Head of Section and Senior Vice Principal, Shafqat Yasmin along with event supervisor Syeda Lutfunnessa Shawon inaugurated the program with speeches. The chief guest’s speech expressed approval of the students’ performance and encouraged them to flourish the colours and roots of a Bangali. The play was orchestrated by faculty of Scholastica, Sharmin Akter Rupa with participating students Urmishthha Rai, Tasfia Islam, Jaza Aila, Amreen Ahmed, Ibtesima Tabassum, and Maimuna Binte Nur in the leading roles.
