Joy Bangla Concert, one of the largest annual rock music extravaganzas in the country, has come again to add an extra dimension to the commemoration of the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Organized by Young Bangla and Centre for Research and Information (CRI), the fourth instalment of the jubilant concert will yet again take place at Bangladesh Army Stadium on March 7.
Entry to the concert, like every year, is absolutely free.
However, a prior registration on the Youth Bangla website is required to get the entry pass, which will be live on March 1 and remain open until March 6.
A dynamic lineup consisting of the leading rock acts from the local scene, including the powerhouse of Dhaka - Powersurge, alternative and pop rock band Shunno, rock infected Arbovirus, fusion band Chirkut, progressive metal band Cryptic Fate, alternative rock band Nemesis, folk-rock troupe Lalon and finally, celebrated progressive rock band - Artcell.
According to Young Bangla, they are expecting around 35,000 fans will attend the concert every year on an average, while millions will watch on social, online and mainstream media, making it the biggest platform for local rock and metal aficionados.
