With an aim of reviving the usage of lost Bengali words, theatre production ‘Nikhoj Sangbad’ will be held at Mohila Shamiti Auditorium today at 4pm and 7pm.
The play is a part of Coca-Cola Bangladesh's month-long campaign for the International Mother Language day called ‘Nikhoj Shobder Khoje’.
Besides, four successive performances of ‘Nikhoj Sangbad’ were held at Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy earlier in this month.
The drama has been written by Gousul Alam Shaon and Adnan Adib Khan, directed by Reja Arif and Tanvir Hasan in association with Tariq Anam Khan and has been enacted by Esha Yusuf and Manoj Kumar along with other noticeable theatre artistes.
The plot focuses on a young boy who struggles to keep up with the contemporary international trends. As the play progresses, the characters start to realize that they have forgotten the traditional and beautiful words of their own language. The main objective of this drama is to revive those beautiful words which once enriched our language and have now become almost extinct.
