Stars conduct cleanup drive in FDC
He who loves himself, loves his country as well. Popular film stars took an oath to raise a ‘Porichchhonno Bangladesh’ along with individual cleanliness. On February 14, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the stars made this commitment while participating in a cleanup drive in and around BFDC organized by the Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti. Dhaka North City Corporation and ‘Dettol Channel i Porichchonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic’ campaign assisted in the program. They also took part in a rally around FDC grounds. The participants of the campaign included Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti President and reputed actor - Misha Sawdagar, Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti General Secretary and actor - Zayed Khan, actors Riaz, Ferdous, Rubel, Rojina, Nuton, Poppy, Keya, Odhora Khan and others. After the event, Misha Sawdagar said, “It has also been stated in our religion that, cleanliness is a part of our faith. So we have to keep our country clean by keeping ourselves clean.” Actor Riaz said, “The motto of this clean up drive is ‘Mon Sundor jar, Se rakhe desh porishkar’. If we are just a little more caring, we can keep our beloved country clean and beautiful.” Another actor Zayed Khan said, “Artists are a family and FDC is their home. That’s why we are cleaning our house. We want to urge you to keep your surroundings clean as a concerned citizen, that way we can keep the country clean”. Poppy said, “Our viewers love us. That is why if we send them any message they accept it. We all want to live healthy. For that we have to work towards raising a ‘Porichchhonno Bangladesh”. The campaign was also participated by Dhaka North City Corporation Panel Mayor Osman Gani, Former BGMEA President and reputed businessman Atikul Islam, BFDC Managing Director Amir Hossain, DNCC Chief Waste Management Officer Commodore Razzak, Marketing Director of Reckitt Benckiser and spokesperson of “Dettol Channel I Porichchhonno Bangladesh powered by Harpic” Syed Tanzim Rezwan. Senior officials of City Corporation and Reckitt Benckiser also took part in the program.
