Ujjal's sliver screen debut: Unoponchash Batash
Inspired by legendary Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky, Masud Hasan Ujjal has recently announced his debut silver screen project, titled “Unoponchash Batash”. The director's debut full-length feature film is essentially a love story, that he says is “as powerful as it turns the dissonance into serenity.” Starting out as a playwright, Ujjal quickly moved into directing, with his a television drama called “Chayaferi.” Further small screen projects followed, including “Je Jibon Foringer”, “Rod Megh Shurjomukhi”, “Aurthohin Moneyplant”, “Das Cabin”. These projects have firmly planted the Fine Arts graduate as a prominent TV director in the country. The unique aspect of this movie according to it’s director is that: “Unoponchash Batash will introduce the audience to a new dimension of our known world that exists within the everyday reality, that is something for sure.” Ujjal is hoping to release the movie on Pahela Baishakh 2018. “Unoponchash Batash” is being produced by Asif Hanif under Ujjal's own label, Red October. The Executive Producer of the film is Syeda Shaon. The film, is near completion with most of the shooting almost done, confirmed the director.
