Popular TV actor Azmeri Haque Badhon will star in a six-episode TV drama dubbed as “Oprokash” that will be aired on Deepto TV from December 16-21, marking Victory Day.
Golam Sohrab, the writer and director of Oprokash, said this to journalists
This is the first time Badhon will star in a drama based on the 1971 Liberation War.
The drama is based on a story about freedom fighters, who are fighting for the independence of their nation at a village, where they meet a character, Umme Kulsum Koli, who later becomes an ally of them.
Koli does not know how to use a gun. Yet, she will be seen in the drama helping the freedom fighters by providing them with intelligence gathered from different sources. Badhon will play the role of Koli.
The actor recently told the press that she had not been able to concentrate on acting for some time, as she was sort of busy taking care of her little daughter as well as family.
Badhon added that she had received a proposal for starring in another drama series based on the war, but could not accept it due to some unavoidable reasons.
Intekhab Dinar will be seen acting against Badhon in the drama.
