Police have arrested an Indian businessman accused of molesting Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim on Sunday, during a flight from Delhi to Mumbai.
Zaira, 17, claimed a middle-aged man sitting behind her, rubbed his foot up and down her neck and back, repeatedly, while she was half asleep.
She documented the incident on Instagram and tried to film the man, but it was too dark to see his face.
Wasim starred in Dangal, one of Bollywood's highest grossing films.
Indian media reports said the man was identified with the help of Air Vistara, the flight Wasim was on.
Wasim accused the airline of not supporting her when she raised the issue, but did not file an official complaint against them.
Wasim, who made her acting debut in Dangal last year, shared her story on Instagram early on Sunday.
She said: "I was sure of it, He kept nudging my shoulder and continued to move his foot up and down my back and neck."
The “Secret Superstar” lead said she blamed the turbulence at first but was later woken by the man's foot touching her neck.
Wasim shared a video after the flight, where she was visibly upset.
"This is terrible," she said. "No one will help us if we don't decide to help ourselves."
She was awarded the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement earlier this year by India's President Ram Nath Kovind.
Air Vistara on Twitter said their staff was unaware of the incident until the plane was on its descent to Mumbai and apologised for what Wasim experienced.
"We have zero tolerance for such behaviour," their recent statement read.
