Bengal Foundation’s sixth edition of the Bengal Classical Music Festival is set to commence on December 26 at Dhanmondi's Abahani Ground.
This year the festival will be featuring some of the most iconic musicians from India, including the likes of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma and Ustad Rashid Khan, amongst numerous others. Bangladeshi recitals will include performances by distinguished artists as well as students of the Government Music College and Bengal Parampara Sangeetalay.
For the first time in Bangladesh, Bengal Classical Music Festival 2017 will also feature performances by Astana Philharmonic Orchestra from Kazakhstan, collaborating with Dr L Subramaniam on stage.
The event is set to be held from December 26 till December 30.
The fest will be open to all. Online registration will start from December 18.
