Sani warns Joy against disrespecting senior artists

Update : 06 Dec 2017, 11:04 PM
Actor Shahriar Nazim Joy’s popular talk show “Sense of Humor” has often put his guests in uncomfortable position with his relentless probing. However, this is the first time any star has protested against it publicly on Facebook. On December 4, Dhallywood actor and producer Omar Sani wrote in a Facebook status, “I know it’s late and I should have said this before. A junior brother in media, Joy… acts well. He’s hosting a show called ‘Sense of Humor’ where he’s talking out of line nowadays.” Sani, the only star who was invited to the show twice, added, “As a senior artist, I want to tell him to learn to respect his seniors.” [embed]https://www.facebook.com/officialomarsani/posts/1519531304782299[/embed] Joy recently told the press in response: “I’ll host as long as the audience want me to. I’m not concerned about what anyone else is saying. “I’ve left the decision up to my audience. I am trying to entertain my viewers and I have no such intention of hurting anyone.” When talking about the show, Joy said: “After many years, such show has acquired immense public interest, similar to ‘Ityadi’s’ popularity in Bangladesh. “If you want to promote Indian shows more, then I should cancel mine. Such criticism means that our own audience do not wish to watch our local shows.” “Sense of Humor” is a popular satire celebrity-roasting show, airing on ATN Bangla and hosted by Joy, brings some of Bangladesh’s popular film and TV celebrities as guests to the hot seat. The show recently received immense popularity among the audience and has even some raised eyebrows regarding its concept. Previously, the show had created massive buzz by roasting celebrities like Meher Afroz Shaon, Apu Biswas, Bidya Sinha Mim, Nusrat Fariya and many more.
