Bangladesh’s ‘Haldaa’ to be screened in 20 overseas theatres
The recently released film of Tauquir Ahmed “Haldaa” will be screened in 20 overseas theatres beside more than 80 theatres in the country. The film, which has already received amazing response from local audience and positive reviews from critics, will be in the theaters of United States, Canada, Oman and United Arab Emirates, said a press statement of Swapno Scarecrow Inc, an Ontario based advertisement agency. “Haldaa” is the fifth featured film of Tauquir, which was recorded on everyday life of the villagers near Haldaa River and their struggles with natural damages like land erosion. Scriptwriter Azad Bulbul wrote the story of the film whereas Tauquir wrote the screenplay. Swapno Scarecrow Inc President Md Oliullah Sajib said “Haldaa” will be played in five cities of USA – New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Florida and Virginia. According to him, the film will be played in famous Regal Cinemas and Cinemark Theatres in USA on December 8. On the same day, the film will be released in Canada’s Toronto and Mississauga. Theatres in Oman and UAE will also play the film on December 8. It will be playing in Canada’s Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg from January 19. Zahid Hasan, Mosharraf Karim and Nusrat Imrose Tisha played the lead roles in the film. Audience will see Mosharraf as a fisherman, Zahid as Antagonist and Tisha as the leading female character. Dilara Zaman, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahed Ali and Runa Khan will also be seen in supporting characters.
