Karenjit Kaur Vohra, who is commonly known by her stage name Sunny Leone, has finally made her début in a Bangla film. The B-town actor created quite a buzz with her appearance in the item song “Chaap Nishna” from the Tollywood movie Shreshtha Bangali.
With her steamy look alongside the novice actor Riju, “Chaap Nishna” has received more than 2.5 lakh views, followed by around 400 comments, after its release on September 7 on Zee Music Bangla’s Youtube channel.
Penned by Lipi and composed by Anjan Bhattacharjee, the song was shot in Mumbai. Mamata Sharma and Dev Negi sang the song.
Directed by Swapan Saha, Shreshtha Bangali will be released on the occasion of Durga Puja. Aside from Riju, the film features Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Ulka Gupta, Laboni Sarker, Koushik Bannerjee, Subhash Mukharjee, Bishwajeet Chakraborty, Rojotabh Dutta and Sumit Ganguly.
Sunny Leone made her Bollywood debut in Pooja Bhatt’s thriller Jism 2 in 2012, and shifted her focus to mainstream acting which was followed up with Jackpot (2013), Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and Ek Paheli Leela (2015).
