His father took the world of television play by storm with his iconic stories and drama series, just as he shook up the world of popular literature with his innumerable books. Now Nuhash Humauyn, the elder son of the late author and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed, is set to channel his creativity into directing television plays.

With the director Amitabh Reza at the helm and overseeing the project, the Nuhash directed television play is set to be released in the forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha.
“This (filmmaking) is something I enjoy doing. I had been thinking about this. And now finally I will be directing,” Nuhash told Bangla Tribune.
But Nuhash is not going to be working with one of his father's stories. In fact, he didn't even consider it. Instead he wrote the story himself. The play will be aired as part of an Eid series, much like the Aynabaji Original Series
broadcast during Eid-ul-Fitr.
“The title and the cast have not been finalised yet. But there will be surprises. We will need two more days. And if everything goes well Nuhash will start production around August 8 or 9,” Amitabh Reza informed.
