Ananta Jalil, one of the much talked-about names in the Dhaka film scene, has performed Umrah and returned to the country recently. Wearing a surprising all oriental outfit, the "Khoj: The Search" actor came to Facebook live on Saturday and invited his fans to Dhanmondi’s Rabindra Sarobar.
“I am coming to Rabindra Sarobar today at 6:45pm, to discuss something important with you all. Please be present there. There will be some other important people with me, whose words may help you to improve your lives,” Jalil said.
Upon the invitation of their beloved hero, fans of the actor were seen gathering around the venue since afternoon. Ananta arrived at the venue on time and once again surprised his fans with the same outfit: a black turban as his head-gear with a long white Arabic dress.
Although due to the restriction of law enforcement agency, Ananta had to cut his programme short, he didn’t forget to address the audience, who had been waiting to see their favourite hero for a long time by then.
In his short address, Ananta said, “We did not know that we have to take permission from the law enforcement agency to arrange a program here. But still I came here to keep my promise as I’ve given you my word earlier that I’ll be here to see you. I would just say, Islam is a religion of peace. Every single rule and regulation of Islam is for your peace. So, let’s take the road of Islam and abide by the rules of Islam.”
According to the organisers, Ananta joined Tablighi Jamaat after he performed Umrah and is now staying at a mosque in Dhanmondi to preach the messages of Islam. He arranged the programme to preach Islam among his fans along with a preacher team.
Ananta confirmed that the fans will see more of this changed Ananta in the future. Expressing his gratitude to the audience, Ananta posted another status update afterwards, saying, “Due to the lack of time, we couldn’t manage to get the necessary permission from the authority, which is why we had to cut the programme short. But my friends, we’ll arrange a more organised programme in the near future.”
