Celebrated guitarist Ayub Bachchu has decided to sell five of his guitars. The LRB frontman, who is well known for his distinctive headgear and guitars, has posted a status on his Facebook on July 6 in this regard.
“I had a sheer desire to organise a guitar playing competition among the local guitar enthusiasts, who’ll win each of my beloved guitars with their outstanding playing,” Bachchu wrote.
But the Bangladeshi guitar maestro has failed to manage a sponsor for his cherished competition and has decided to sell them instead, Bachchu confirmed in his status.
“Maybe my dream regarding my guitars was too big. Besides, it’s really tiresome taking care of these guitars. I’ve decided to sell the guitars to the local guitar players and the enthusiasts who want to collect them,” Bachchu added.
The offer is valid for the next five days. The five guitars Bachchu is offering include an Axis and a JP guitar from the Ernie Ball Music Man, two Carvin guitars, including a JB, and a Charvel guitar. All of the guitars are made in USA.
Starting out as a rock musician, Bachchu has also dabbled in more mainstream music, although he is best known for being a guitar legend in Bangladesh. The local guitar virtuoso is equally popular as a singer as well as a composer. He is often considered as one of the forerunners of Bangladeshi rock music.
