The Mosharraf Karim starrers
Over the years, Bangla drama and Mosharraf Karim have become almost synonymous. With his more than frequent appearance in dramas and humorous acting, Mosharraf Karim’s dramas are undoubtedly anticipated by the audience.
The Sikandar Box famed actor will is featuring as five different dramas this Eid -Manush Omanush, Bulir Balcony, Obhinandan, Projotne Chor and Sheikh Sadi’r Sheishob Din Ratri.
Among them, Manush Omanush is both penned and directed by Kochi Khandakar, where Urmila and Sohel Khan will be seen as Karim’s co-stars.
The actor will be seen with Sharlin and Jhuna Chowdhury among other cast members in Buli’r Balcony, which is penned by Doyal Shah and directed by Shams Karim.
Obhinondon, on the other hand, is directed by Mursalin Shuvo, and is based on a story written by Masum Shariar. Model Jannatul Peya and Shahidul Sabuj will be seen as co-stars to Karim.
Helmed by Hasan Morshed, Projotne Chor stars Nadia Nodi and Kochi Khondokar. Lastly, Sheikh Sadi’r Sheishob Din Ratri will feature the likes of Dilara Zaman, Snehashish Shubho and Wahid Akram, with Karim playing the lead role. The drama is written and directed by Musafir Syed.
The special dramas will be aired during the upcoming Eid-ul-fitr, starting from the first day of Eid to the fifth day at 8.45pm.
LUX Chirochena Shourobher Golpo
In order to celebrate Eid-ul-fitr, LUX is presenting seven drama episodes inspired by seven timeless classic Bangla literature pieces. The episodes are being made and broadcast under the brand’s special promotional feature titled, LUX Chirochena Shourobher Golpo.
Rabindranath Tagore’s Shesher Kobita and Nastanirh inspired the dramas Shesher Golpo and Chutir Nimontron, respectively. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Datta and Parineeta have been re-imagined as Engaged and Poroshpor. The drama Obhiman is a retelling of Kapalkundala by the great Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. And lastly, the dramas Shaheb Mem-shaheb and Mukhosher Arale are modern interpretations of Nimai Bhattacharya’s Mem-shaheb and Samaresh Majumder’s Gorvodharini, respectively.
The classic characters will be brought to life by an ensemble cast consisting of LUX stars and other renowned celebrities, including Mehazabien, Momo, Mou, Nadia Mim, Aparna, Tisha, and Sarika. The dramas have been directed by the likes of Md Mostofa Kamal Raj, Tuhin Hossain, Abu Hayat Mahmud, Goutam Koiri, Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul, Ashfaque Nipun, and Mabrur Rashid Bannah.
After its phenomenal success last year, LUX Chirochena Shourobher Golpo is expected to cater to an equally wide audience and critical acclaim this year as well. The fictions will be aired on RTV at 10pm over the first seven days of Eid.
Celebrated musician Partha Barua, who has also earned a reputation for his acting performances, will appear only in a telefilm this Eid. Titled The Painter, the Souls member has teamed up with Koneenica Banerjee, one of the leading actors of Tollywood in the venture. This also marks the first venture of the famous Kolkata actor in Bangladesh.
With music from Meghdol and Shibu Kumar Shil’s screenplay, The Painter is directed by Parvez Amin who confirmed that the shooting of the telefilm has already been completed.
The estranging tale of Partha Barua and Koneenica Bannerjee will be aired on NTV, on the day of Eid, at 2:20pm.
Banglalink, one of the leading telecom and digital communications service providers in Bangladesh is presenting a miniseries with seven different stories under the banner of Chabial Eid Reunion on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The mini drama series will be directed by some of the country’s leading filmmakers including the likes of Mostafa Kamal Raz, Adnan Al Rajeev, Ashfaque Nipun, Humayun Sadhu, Saraf Ahmed Zibon, Redoan Rony, Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi, Ashutosh Sujon, under the supervision and direction of the famous and popular director Mostafa Sarwar Farooki.
Amjad Hossain, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Iresh Zaker, among others will be playing lead roles in the dramas. Their roles and contribution to our entertainment industry have been instrumental and have gained immense popularity among viewers.
The series will be aired on Ekushey TV during the Eid holidays starting from Eid day, at 9:30pm everyday.
Popular singer and actor Tahsan will be seen in a telefim titled Abaro, this Eid. Apart from playing the lead role opposite Nadia Nodi, the multi-talented artist has also voiced the title track of Abaro.
With Masud Hasan’s story and Tanin Rahman’s screenplay, Mahmudur Rahman Himi directed the telefilm. The title track “Abaro” has been composed by Rezwan Shekh with Snehashish Ghosh’s lyrics and tune. The track will be released under the banner of Gaanbox.
