Yasmin Mushtari, Fatema Tuz Zohura and Nowshin Laila, three of the most popular Nazrulsangeet artists are also well known for their popular Bangla songs and ghazals. On the other hand, Kazi Shuvo and Milon seem to have created a position for themselves in the domain of modern Bangla songs. The duo have been publishing audio-videos of romantic Bangla songs regularly, and have garnered appreciation from the local audience. Much to the delight of their fans, these five artists from two different generations have teamed up to release an album titled Jikir. The album features original tracks sung by Yasmin Mushtari, Fatema Tuz Zohura and Nowshin Laila. Shekh Milon has composed the songs with lyrics from Mosa Haque. The same album also includes two other Islamic tracks - Kazi Shuvo’s “Allahu Allahu” and Milon’s “Tumi Amar Prarthona.” The songs are based on the lyrics of famous lyricist Rabiul Islam Jibon.
