Yasmin Mushtari, Fatema Tuz Zohura and Nowshin Laila, three of the most popular Nazrulsangeet artists are also well known for their popular Bangla songs and ghazals. On the other hand, Kazi Shuvo and Milon seem to have created a position for themselves in the domain of modern Bangla songs. The duo have been publishing audio-videos of romantic Bangla songs regularly, and have garnered appreciation from the local audience.
Much to the delight of their fans, these five artists from two different generations have teamed up to release an album titled Jikir. The album features original tracks sung by Yasmin Mushtari, Fatema Tuz Zohura and Nowshin Laila. Shekh Milon has composed the songs with lyrics from Mosa Haque. The same album also includes two other Islamic tracks - Kazi Shuvo’s “Allahu Allahu” and Milon’s “Tumi Amar Prarthona.” The songs are based on the lyrics of famous lyricist Rabiul Islam Jibon.
Moreover, another album titled Ami Jodi Pakhi Hotam has been recently released by singer Liakat Ali Belali while Obaidur Rahman has released two albums. The first one is titled, Ya Nabi Allahu, an album comprising of Arabic numbers and another Islamic Nazrulsangeet album titled, Jedin Lobo Biday.
Obaidur Rahman, Ishrak Hossain and Bapon have also worked together to bring out yet another Islamic Nazrul Sangeet album titled, Tora Dekhe Ja Amina.
“Some of the music videos of the tracks from the aforementioned albums are already out and are available for streaming on YouTube channels of CD Coice and Islamic Choice,” confirmed Jahirul Islam Sohel, the proprietor of the two organisations.
