Season seven of HBO’s Game of Thrones
will premiere on July 16. There will only be seven episodes in this upcoming season. In the meantime HBO has released a chilling new trailer of season seven. “Enemies to the East, enemies to the West, enemies to the South, enemies to the North. Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat them,” the trailer starts off with these words from Cersei. We also see Daenerys arriving at what looks like Dragonstone. We then get a shot of the unsullied taking over a Lannister stronghold, but we don’t know where exactly the place is. There are brief glimpses of Littlefinger, Sansa, Jon Snow and Theon in between. We also see Melisandre back on Dragonstone. Will she and Daenerys have a face off? Guess we will have to wait to find out. We also get to see Arya on a horse and it looks like (even from the recently released posters) she makes it to Winterfell. But the best part of the trailer is the last scene where Dothrakis are in some kind of a war that involves charging in with Drogon.
In a recent interview, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) promises that the new season of Game of Thrones will be very fast-paced compared to the previous ones. “This season is really different than any other season because it’s accelerating toward the end, a lot of stuff collides and happens much much quicker than you’re used to seeing on ‘Thrones’. It’s so different than what everybody is used to. It’s quite exciting,” Harington said.
Producers announces that the speedy pace is not because to the shorter season, but because war is finally upon the characters.
