Shafiq Tuhin’s first ever Rabindra rendition
Famous lyricist and singer, Shafiq Tuhin sang a Rabindrasangeet for the first time ever in his career. With Rafi’s composition, Tuhin sang the famous Rabindrasangeet “Tomar Shurer Dhara”. In order to pay tribute to the Kabiguru, Shafiq Tuhin wants to release his rendition of the Rabindra track on the upcoming Rabindra Jayanti. “I’ve participated in a music competition when I was a student of class six. I sang a Rabindrasangeet there, and won the second position,” said Tuhin, who has earned the Bangladesh National Film Award for the Best Lyricist in 2011. “I’ve always wanted to sing a song of the Kabiguru ever since I entered the music industry. My dream came true with this track,” he added. Music video of the track, which will be made under the banner of CMV,  is in the works now, confirmed Tuhin. However, the singer has released a track titled “Bondhua Re” recently on Youtube. Apart from singing the song, Tuhin also worked as the lyricist and composer. “Bondhua Re” has been released under the banner of Eagle Music.
