Impress Telefilm has recently produced a feature film titled, Hothat Dekha which is based on a famous poem of the same title written by Rabindranath Tagore. The film, a joint venture production between Bangladesh and India, will be released in theatres this March 31 marking the National Film Day, which is on April 3.
The film will be released in several theatres of the country including Blockbuster Cinemas, Star Cineplex, Balaka Cineworld and Shyamoli Cinema.
Jointly directed by Reshmi Mitra from India and Shahadat Hossain from Bangladesh, the film casts Ilias Kanchan, Debashree Roy in lead roles. The rest of the cast combines an ensemble of Bangladeshi and Indian actors including the likes of Munira Yusuf Memy, Shankar Chakraborty, Deep Bhattacharya, Wasek Imad, Kartik Das Baul, Moni Talukder, Tulika Bose, Sadhan Bagchi and Rajiul Islam Khan among others.
Alok Mukhapadhaya from India wrote the screenplay while Badal Sarkar is the cinematographer of the film. The music has been composed by Raja Narayan Deb.
The story of the film revolves around a man and a woman and the remembrance of their past relations through an accidental meeting.
