Romantic, dance music or soft numbers, Akhi Alamgir is quite a pro at acing whatever genre she works on.
Her performances either on live TV shows or at concerts leave audience awed. Now the diva wrapped up shooting for a new music video in which she modelled and danced. The video will be released on Pohela Boishakh.
The song titled “Boishakhi Mela” was recorded a few days back under the label Bangla Dhol. Shahidullah Farayezi penned the lyrics while Alauddin Ali composed and arranged music for the song.
Talking about the song Akhi Alamgir said, “I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Alauddin Ali in the past. However, this Boishakhi song differs from his usual composition.”
Daughter of eminent actor Alamgir, Akhi, a recipient of the National Film Award as Best Child Actress for her performance in Bhat De, expressed her excitement by adding that she was thrilled to work on a song that’s about festivities and joy.
Filmmaker Ashiqur Rahman, famed for his directorial ventures like Musafir (2015) and Kistimaat (2014), directed the music video while Arif Rohan choreographed the dance bits in it. A group of 32 dancers joined the singer in the video.
The music video will be available on banglaflix.com.bd while audience would get access to the audio song via the Bangla Dhol app and by dialing 4646 on their mobile phones.
