Rubel criticises Shakib Khan

Update : 11 Mar 2017, 10:30 PM
Dhallywood sensation Shakib Khan was seen with several actresses of Kolkata in his recent movies. However, all of them were not Indo-Bangla ventures. But his last joint venture endeavour Shikari was a blockbuster, and brought the actor international fame. The movie created quite a buzz on both sides of the border before its release, owing to the stunning new look of the ‘Number One’ Shakib Khan. Indian Bangla film star, Shrabanti acted in Shikari with Shakib. But this time the Dhallywood ‘King Khan’ is going to pair up with two Kolkata actresses in a single movie. Nusrat and Sayantika, two trendy Tollywood starlets are already confirmed to star in the movie, alongside Shakib. Nusrat is well-known for her work in Shatru, Khoka 420, and Khiladi and Sayantika earned plaudits for her super-hits Awara, Hirogiri and Oviman. Although the title of the film has not been confirmed yet, Shakib Khan has had multiple trips to Kolkata in order to initialise the primary process for the film. Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF), headquartered in Kolkata, is one of the leading media and entertainment companies of West Bengal, and they are all set to start their journey in Bangladesh through this new film with Shakib Khan. As the news circulates, it seems like SVF’s entry in the local film market is not going to be appreciated by national film artists. Famous Bangladeshi action hero, Rubel has already expressed his disappointment upon hearing the news. “What is this? We are making route for others in our market, where we ourselves can barely stand. I’ve been talking openly against this for quite a long time now. If needed we’ll protest again,” he said. The 56-year-old actor also explained the reason behind his displeasure, particularly against Shakib. According to him, Shakib Khan himself once stood against the entry of foreign films in the market to protect the national film industry along with Rubel and many other national film artists, but now he is contributing in the infringement. However, shooting for the film will start from March 16 in Kolkata. Bangladesh, Switzerland and Italy are also on the list of the spots chosen for the film's shooting. Aradhana Enterprise will be representing Bangladesh in the production squad.
