BotTala to stage Crutch-er Colonel
The play will be staged on February 24 and 25 at the Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mahila Samiti at 6pm each day. Directed by Mohammad Ali Haider, the play is a stage adaptation of eminent novelist Shahaduzzaman’s novel of the same title, centred around the life of Liberation War Hero and one of the masterminds of the November 7 coup Colonel Taher, who was executed in 1976. Samina Lutfa Nitra and Souno Sarkar adapted the 9th production of the troupe for stage. Imran Khan Munna designed the stage, while Khalid Mahmud Sejan set up the lighting and Pintu Ghosh composed music. The play was last premiered in December at a ten-day theatre festival titled “BotTala Rangamela” organised by BotTala.
