Jibon Theke Neya is a work of legendary director Zahir Raihan. The film is a political satire based on the Bengali Language Movement under the rule of Pakistan, where an autocratic woman in one family symbolises the political dictatorship of Ayub Khan in East Pakistan. Shaukat Akbar, Anwar Hossain, Khan Ataur Rahman and Rosy Samad starred in the movie. The movie has been described as an example of ‘national cinema’
