On Monday, traces of Kanye West’s support for President Donald Trump and the references to his Trump Tower meeting, which made waves last year, had all disappeared from his Twitter timeline.
West, though hasn’t spoken or cryptically tweeted about the matter, reportedly decided to cleanse his page of anything Trump-related since he’s unhappy with several of Trump’s moves including his controversial immigration ban.
The rapper’s attitude towards the President changes less than two months after West stopped by Manhattan’s glitzy Trump Tower to meet with the President for 15 minutes.
Neither the President nor West disclosed the purpose of the meeting when they appeared in the building’s golden lobby afterwards, but the rapper tweeted later in the day that he wanted to “discuss multicultural issues.”
“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculum, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” he continued on Twitter. West concluded the Twitter text with the hashtag #2024, apparently announcing his decision to push back his much-promised run for president by four years.
