Tasmiah Afrin Mou, a Bangladeshi filmmaker whose recent short fiction Statement After My Poet Husband's Death garnered plaudits at several film festivals in home and abroad, has been selected as a jury member of the competition section of International Film Festival of Nepal (IFFON).
All Nepal Cineworkers Association will organise the festival for the first time, which will be held from January 11 to 15 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Produced by Khana Talkies, Tasmiah Afrin Mou's short film Statement After My Poet Husband's Death earned a jury special mention award at the 15th Third Eye Asian Film Festival in Mumbai and the Tareq Shahriar Best Film Award at the 14th International Short and Independent Film Festival, Dhaka (ISIFF) recently.
