The television audience loves happy endings no matter if it is a serial or a reality show. Audiences fall in love with the couple that can make people believe that they are also in love. But in real life, nothing is as smooth as a fairy tale. Even stars have to face the twists and turns of life. Here are some of the break-ups of 2016 of TV couples that seemed so perfect once upon a time.
Gauahar and Kushal
Model and film actress Gauahar Khan and television actor Kushal Tandon became one of India's most loved television couples last year, when they confessed their love for each other during Bigg Boss 7. It was rare to see a heart-warming relationship develop on the reality show, and the duo got a huge fan following after the show was over. Their relationship became the centre of attraction when Gauhar and Kushal started spending time together. But as a prediction, Gaushal, as their fans fondly called them, continued to be together for almost a year. But a few days ago, Tandon took to Twitter to announce that the couple was no longer together. Took the followers by surprise since there were so many fights with Tanisha, Arman and even with Salman Khan.
Kamya and Karan
Till last year, Kamya Punjabi and Karan Patel were the most talked-about couple of Indian television. But things took an ugly turn and their perfect relationship had an imperfect ending in January of 2015. The reason for their breakup was never revealed to the public. But recently, Kamya took on a similar platform. Like Gauhar, Kamya is also a popular Bigg Boss star, and she remains Salman Khan's favourite. Recently, Karan Patel and his wife Ankita, who is also an actress, have been having problems in their marriage. Kamya, on the other hand, has no interest to discuss details about her ex. Only the heavens and Karan know what suddenly changed his mind.
Another couple that came to the reality show scene was Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu, who finally filed for divorce. All routes to a possible reconciliation have been shut down for the estranged TV couple. After failing to resolve their differences that cropped up soon after their wedding in 2012, they filed for a divorce earlier this month. The first hearing took place on March 30 at the Bandra family court. A source said, “Both were cordial, calm and composed. They filed for divorce by mutual consent.” Incidentally, they were recently together in Indonesia to promote their show Uttaran, which is being telecast there. Both Rashami and Nandish remained unavailable for comment.
Daljeet and Shaleen
This couple’s incident shocked many fans with their legal case of domestic violence. Yes, you read right. After five years of togetherness and being blessed with a baby boy, Daljeet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot, who shot to fame with Star Plus' dance reality show Nach Baliye, are on the verge of calling off their relationship. The reason for their break up is better known to them, but as per a source, Shaleen's increasing abusive behaviour towards Daljeet has lead to this decision. According to a report in Bombay Times, Daljeet has also recently filed a police complaint against Shaleen's harsh behaviour. Though the two have not completed the divorce formalities, they are on for separation and are not staying together. On that note, Shaleen started his career with another reality show, Roadies (MTV).
Another Roadies star, Charlie, broke up with Kunwar Amar. Kunwar Amar of Dil Dosti Dance and Charlie Chauhan aka Mukti Vardhan of Kaisi Hain Yaariaan have apparently broken up after a four-year long steady relationship. According to reports, the two actors parted ways amicably some eight to nine months back, and reasons behind the break-up are still unclear. Charlie and Amar, who were last seen together on dance reality show Nach Baliye in 2012-13, are currently mum about their break-up. However, close friends and people who know them are aware about their break-up. The news of their split came to the spotlight when Charlie recently shared a picture on Instagram that read Single and unavailable.
