Mallika Sherawat assaulted in her Paris apartment

The actress, who rose to fame filming crime thrillers and item numbers, was assaulted by three attackers, who broke in her apartment. Mallika had been living in the apartment with her boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans, who was reportedly beaten up by the attackers. ToI, however, did not mention the time and other details of the incident. The newspaper also reported a criminal investigation is currently underway, where French detectives are working on the theory that the assailants were attempting a robbery. France is still under a state of emergency after the terrorist attack on November 11 last year. In the wake of the attack, there has been an increase in violence that has seen tourist numbers plummeting. Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint during her stay at a hotel in Paris.
