Recently, Green has joined the cast of psychological thriller Based On A True Story opposite French star Emmanuelle Seigner, which is a highly anticipated collaboration between director Roman Polanski and Olivier Assayas. Currently, Assayas is tackling screenwriting duties.
The script is an adaptation of Delphine de Vigan’s novel of the same name, which tells the story of a writer (Seigner) who goes through a rough time after the release of her latest book attracts the eye of an obsessive woman (Green).
Green has shown unprecedented skill when playing such unique characters, and this role sounds like it should play directly to her strengths.
Based On A True Story marks Polanski’s first feature since 2013’s Venus in Fur adaptation. Assayas, meanwhile, has seen his name skyrocket on the international stage with Kristen Stewart collaborations like Clouds of Sils Maria and this year’s festival title Personal Shopper.
Apart form Based On A True Story, Green will also be seen in Lisa Langseth’s sister drama Euphoria, in which she’ll star opposite Alicia Vikander.
