While I agree with the finance minister that the import of motor vehicles needs to be curbed in order to improve the traffic situation in the country, the government only seems to be coming up with stopgap measures, as opposed to taking a holistic approach. The government needs to improve on traffic planning, management, and enforcement, and to really push forward effective mass transit in the country.
