An effective vaccination rollout program will remain crucial to our sustained development plans
It is indeed encouraging to see so many Bangladeshis across the nation receiving theirvaccination shots, and with over 64% of Bangladeshis willing to take the Covid-19 vaccine, we hope to see the vaccine rollout reach more and more people in the future.
It is absolutely imperative that the vaccination rollout is done as transparently as possible and with the public informed in their full capacity regarding its role as an effective deterrent against the coronavirus as well as the subsequent precautions that they should continue to take despite being immunized.
The Bangladeshi people’s willingness to take the vaccine in this regard is also a sign of the trust the government has earned, and also the victory of truth over misinformation, the latter of which was a significant problem in the first few months of the outbreak, leading to widespread speculation which, subsequently, led to thousands of people being put in harm’s way.
Credit must also be given to the brave workers, from doctors and nurses who have faced the threat of the coronavirus every day to researchers, administrative staff, technicians, and transport workers who have ensured that people can register for the vaccination process and be immunized against Covid-19 in due time.
We are pleased by the priority the government has given to essential workers such asteachers in providing the vaccine, and we hope it continues to do the same, keeping up the efficiency, in the coming weeks.
An effective vaccination rollout program will remain crucial to our sustained development plans, as it is the only way we can rid ourselves of Covid-19, once and for all.
