There are reasons to be hopeful when it comes to 2021
Last year will forever be remembered as one of the toughest years for the world at large.
Bangladesh has shown incredible resilience in the face of adversity, and the government, relevant stakeholders and authorities concerned, and, most of all, the people of Bangladesh should be proud of how they have stood up to the pandemic.
Despite multiple setbacks, the Bangladesh economy has continued to forge ahead, and was rightfully hailed by the global community for the stellar work it has managed to do to keep the economy afloat during a year when almost every other economy failed to register any semblance of positivity or growth.
We have now entered a new year, and while the coronavirus pandemic remains as significant a threat as ever, there are reasons to be hopeful when it comes to 2021, chief of which are the different iterations of the Covid-19 vaccine, which could potentially end this pandemic once and for all, and bring normalcy back to our planet.
However, it is absolutely essential for us as a nation to ensure that our management of the vaccine is as efficient and foolproof as possible. That means efficiency in not just the process of administering the vaccine to the population when it becomes available, but ensuring that it is procured and stored carefully, fulfilling all the requirements needed so that the vaccine is not in any way compromised.
Indeed, for any economy to make progress, it requires the health and safety of its citizens to be a top priority. As such, vaccination for Covid-19 in 2021 will be key for Bangladesh to continue its upward trajectory as a nation.
