When children’s lives are at stake, we cannot take chances.
Recently, nine children in Tripura lost their lives because they were treated by witch-doctors, and not proper modern medication.
But this reliance on unproven and controversial methods of treatment, such as homoeopathy (which many in the community still believe in), is no longer an option.
One dead child is one too many, and the loss is even more tragic when it could have been prevented.
Each and every individual in this country should be aware of the medical treatment available to them, and it is upon the government to make sure all have access to it.
