Theatre activist Lily Chowdhury, the wife of late martyred intellectual Munier Choudhury, has passed away
The 92-year-old breathed her last at around 5pm on Monday, confirmed her son Asif Munier through a Facebook post.
He wrote: "Could not hold on to mother anymore. Lily Chowdhury. 1928- 2021."

Lily Chowdhury, who died at her Banani residence, was suffering from old-age complications for a long time.
According to family sources, her body will be kept at the Central Shaheed Minar for public mourning from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Tuesday.
She will be buried at the Banani graveyard beside her son’s grave after Zuhr prayers on Tuesday, they added.
She is survived by her two sons.
One of Lily Chowdhury's sons, popular cinematographer Mishuk Munier died in a fatal road accident on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway along with prominent filmmaker Tareque Masud on August 13, 2011.
