The prime minister expressed deep shock at the death of the former lawmaker
Former Lalmonirhat lawmaker Abu Saleh M Sayeed has passed away while undergoing treatment at the United Hospital in Dhaka around 4pm on Sunday. He was 73.
Sayeed, the elder son-in-law of national leader and member of Mujibnagar government AHM Kamruzzaman, was an elected member of the 10th parliament of the Awami League from Lalmonirhat 3 constituency.
Sayeed had been suffering from kidney diseases.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of the former lawmaker.
In a condolence message from Brunei, the prime minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family.
