Information Minister Hasan Mahmud has said the government has been working to bring back the lost discipline in Bangladesh's broadcast media.

“We have already taken initiatives in the best interest of mass media,  and they have placed media in order mostly,” he said.

While talking about establishing discipline in broadcast media, the minister said:“Now we are working to establish full discipline in this sector with everyone's cooperation.”

He thanked Bangladesh’s mass media including electronic and newspapers for playing a vital role against the dengue rumours as well as in its prevention.

Information Secretary Abdul Malek, BTV Director Gen Harunur Rashid, DBC Chairman Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Ekattor TV CEO Mozammel Haque Babu and other private TV owners, were present at the program.
